Today’s video is a quick rant about all of the SEO Link and Blog networks that have been popping up over the past few months.
One of the original services is LinkVana.com. They have a large network of domains where you’re allowed to publish 200 word blog posts with one link in them. Since this and a couple of others pioneered the idea on a large scale to all internet marketers many copy cats have sprung up.
A few:
- BuildMyRank.com
- ArticleMarketingAutomation.com
- SEOLinkVine.com
There are lots more these are just the first few that came to mind.
Like I say in the video, I am not saying that these networks are all bad. What I am saying is test them for your market. I’ve found they can produce good results in some less competitive markets, but if you’re market is very competitive (i.e. over $1.25 CPC for Adwords) then you’re not going to skyrocket to #1 using only these services.
I’d suggest running your own closed tests as I suggest in the video to determine if these are worth it for you.
A word of caution. Don’t get tied into too many of these memberships at once. They do take a reasonable amount of work to get the most benefit. Consider outsourcing content creation if you’re trying to use them for a large number of sites and be willing to cut your losses if you don’t see any results.

I’m running a test at the moment using Article Ranks (part of Alex Whalley’s challenge), and should be interesting to see whether it works or not.
Hi Rose,
I’ve used Article Ranks and while I felt it got better distribution then Article Marketing Automation and SEO LinkVine I can’t say that it did a lot for me in terms of boosting my rank for a keyword I knew was worth ranking for (I.e. it converted). How are you running your test? Are you only using Article Ranks as the source for new links to the site and then tracking the results? I’d be interested in hearing your results.
